8 Months

This holiday season sure is coming up on us quick...I thought we had another week until Christmas-guess I better start shopping :)

I sent out Christmas cards for the first time ever! Yeah for domesticated me! I managed to get a half-way decent cell phone picture of Vickie and made up 50 cards online...next year I'll have to do 75 because unfortunately I ran out and some people didn't get one. Learn as you go I suppose.

We've been working with Vickie on holding her own bottle. If you put it on the floor between her legs, she'll pick it up and get it into her mouth. She just hasn't figured out how to tilt her head back yet. So, I lay her on a blanket and she does just fine. The second you touch her though, her arms go completely limp...."you feed me now Mom".

For my birthday, I got Vickie an Ergo carrier. Her Baby Bjorn definately got it's use but unfortunately we grew out of it. Dad no longer could carry her on the front...she's the perfect length for a good kicking-LOL. It's so nice to have the weight distributed on my back now. It's quite the challenge to get her in and out of the Ergo, but hey, so was the Bjorn and it became like second nature eventually.

I, of course, could not resist the first mohawk picture!!! Vickie is finally getting some hair!

Well, I'm calling it as official! Vickie's first words...DaDa.

I should be posting a picture of her crawling really soon. She is up on all fours, doing what we call the "Centipede". She can get all the way across the room in no time at all. Crawling by Christmas is what I've been saying for months now :)

Happy Holidays Everyone!!!
